Will you be my bridesmaid?
A guide to creating bridesmaid boxes with five gift ideas
Now that you have said yes, it is your turn to pop the question and ask your best friends to join your bridal party. You want the moment to reflect how special they are and how much you would love for them to stand by your side at your wedding. Since it’s a meaningful occasion requiring financial and time commitment, it’s nice to show your love and appreciation as you pop the question. But how are you going to do it? What is the bridesmaid proposal etiquette?
Inviting your friends to be bridesmaids can be an enjoyable and memorable moment. Bridesmaid proposal boxes can accomplish this. A recent trend, a bridesmaid’s proposal box, contains gifts and a sentimental card when asking that special friend be a part of your wedding party. You can choose to buy pre-made bridesmaid boxes or make your own. I decided to make my own since it’s more fun and personalized. Also, making your own can be less expensive. I spent around $45 for each box.
The kinds of gifts you use are totally up to you. I tailored the items to personal preferences and shared moments to make them more meaningful. In my case, I included personalized champagne flutes and candles, champagne, chocolates, and bath bombs. Therefore, each box was different, reflecting the unique nature of each relationship. Also included was a sweet and heartfelt card that asked them to be my bridesmaid/maid of honor.
I purchased the champagne flutes, candles, bath bombs, and cards from Etsy. They have a lot of cute, personalized bridesmaid gifts, which is excellent if you need ideas. The white boxes and twine were purchased from Amazon, where you may also purchase mini bottles of champagne and baby’s breath. Make sure to have fun with this, and don’t stress too much about it!
