A timeless love story unfolds as the misty morning transforms into a radiant summer day. Witnessing our daughter's beautiful, elegant wedding at the enchanting O'Shaughnessy Hall was a day filled with love, joy, and profound emotions that spoke to the hearts of family and friends gathered to celebrate with the young couple.

The Setting

O'Shaughnessy Hall, a picturesque venue with sophisticated marble-based columns and stunning arched windows, nestled amidst the lush landscapes on Saint Mary-of-the-Wood's campus, provided the perfect backdrop for our daughter's dream wedding. As empty nesters, we had never imagined a more beautiful place to celebrate this significant milestone. The Hall's timeless charm and true elegance created an ambiance that was nothing short of enchanting. (https://spsmw.org/venue-rental/event-spaces/

Morning Preparations

The ladies gathered in the venue's Foley Room early Saturday morning to apply makeup and style their hair. A makeup artist and beautician were available for those wanting assistance. Bon Appetit, the caterer, provided a nourishing brunch for the wedding party, including mimosas.

The Bridal Elegance

Our daughter, the bride, was a vision of elegance on her special day. Her bridal gown was nothing short of breathtaking. She wore a timeless, ivory, ultra-comfortable A-Line Wedding Gown, Darcy by Sophia Tolli, which cascaded gracefully to the floor. Delicate sequined lace appliques added a touch of sophistication over the glitter mesh that peeped through the dreamy, misty tulle skirt. Kudos to our talented seamstress, Carla, who used her extraordinary talents to alter the gown. Her ivory fingertip-length veil floated behind her like a cloud, creating an aura of pure enchantment.

 The Bridesmaids' Grace

The bridesmaids, dressed in taupe chiffon floor-length gowns, added an air of grace and charm to the wedding party. Their dresses, purchased from AZAZIE, in styles they each selected, complemented the bride's attire perfectly. The bridesmaids' joy and support for our daughter were evident in their radiant smiles, making them an integral part of this elegant celebration. Here are the three distinctive styles chosen by the bridesmaids:

AZAZIE EMERALD A-Line Pleated Chiffon Floor Length Gown (Amy)

AZAZIE DAENERYS A-Line Chiffon Floor Length Dress (Emma)

AZAZIE RUE A-Line Pleated Chiffon Floor-Length Dress Taupe (Katy)

Mothers of the Wedding

The mothers of the bride and groom were the epitome of sophistication and grace. The bride's mother wore a floor-length dusty lavender lace gown with glints of silver by Speechless for Macy's, accented by a rhinestone belt. She was a pillar of strength and love, supporting her daughter every step of the way. The mother of the groom (MIL), in her navy-blue ¾ sleeve beaded Midi Fit and Flare Dress by MSK for JC Penney, radiated warmth and happiness, symbolizing the merging of two loving families.

Groomsmen's, Dad’s, and Uncle’s Dapper Style

The groom, his groomsmen, the couple's fathers, and the bride's uncle looked dapper in their classic black Pronto Uomo Black Suits rented from Men's Wearhouse. Crisp white shirts, black vests, shoes, cuff links, and elegant black ties completed their ensemble. Their attire mirrored the timeless elegance of the occasion and displayed the groom's impeccable taste. The groomsmen proudly stood by his side, embodying the bonds of friendship and brotherhood.
